BREAK THE BOXES. EXPAND WHAT’S POSSIBLE.

Azmera Hammouri-Davis speaks to the space between where we begin and where we believe we can go.

Her keynotes and interactive experiences combine personal storytelling, scholarship, poetry, and embodied practice to challenge limiting beliefs and invite audiences into a larger sense of possibility.

THE FLAGSHIP KEYNOTE

01 BREAK THE BOXES

Your circumstances may shape where you begin. They do not have to determine where you finish.

We all encounter boxes.

Some are created by circumstances beyond our control. Others come from family, culture, institutions, stereotypes, shame, fear, or the expectations of people around us.

Over time, those external boundaries can become internal ones.

In Break the Boxes, Azmera draws from her own unconventional journey—from housing insecurity and instability to Harvard, USC, international research, and a career spanning scholarship, art, and community work—to explore what happens when we stop confusing our circumstances with our identity and our boundaries with our destiny.

This is not a story about pretending adversity doesn’t exist.

It is a story about refusing to let adversity have the final word.

Ideal for: Keynotes · Conferences · Universities · Leadership Events · Youth Programs

02 THE POWER OF THE PAGE

What happens when we give ourselves permission to tell the truth?

At 15, a mental health crisis led Azmera to therapy, where she discovered journaling as a powerful tool for reflection and self-expression.

She also encountered something less discussed: the shame and stigma that can surround mental health.

This talk explores how writing can become a way to process experience, reclaim our stories, and create space for healing.

Ideal for: Colleges & Universities · Mental Health Programs · Schools · Community Organizations · Wellness Events

03 BREAK. BELIEVE. BLOOM

Transformation is not only about who we become. It’s about what becomes possible for others because we did.

Drawing from Azmera’s interdisciplinary work in creativity, culture, movement, ethics, and community engagement, this interactive experience explores how we move from surviving to becoming—and from individual transformation toward collective belonging.

This experience can incorporate elements of poetry, movement, storytelling, reflection, and facilitated dialogue.

Ideal for: Retreats · Workshops · Cultural Programs · Leadership Events · Community Organizations
