Break the boxes stories is a woman of color led monthly podcast hosted by Azmera and friends, designed to engage storytelling across generations and faith traditions to promote healing through creative arts, transformative justice and spiritual well-being. The cypher-like conversation is rooted in bell hooks “Teaching to Transgress: Education as the Practice of Freedom” and Hip Hop pedagogy to stimulate critical reflection and assist people in learning how to #breaktheboxes of limited thinking and self-determine.
